Easy Hills of Cushman Trail (Gig Harbor)

Join us for a ride at Trek Bicycle (formerly Old Town Bicycle- Gig Harbor).  We will ride at a steady pace of 12-14 mph.

Let's get on our bikes and have an afternoon ride on the easy hills of Cushman Trail! The start is the parking lot at Trek Bicycle (formerly Old Town Bicycle). Route is an out and back along "old Cushman" going towards the bridge.  New riders or riders that haven't been out for a while are encouraged to come, as are more experienced riders who are up for a social ride and supporting others.  If you are new to Cascade Free Group rides, please see the "information for newcomers" linked at the top.

If you dusted off your bike and realize that it has not benefited from resting in your garage for a while, get to the start early and get some help from their expert mechanics.  They are very helpful at Trek Bicycle! 

Let's meet at Trek Bicycle and please be ready to ride at 4:00 pm. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride. The title will note the cancelation and registered riders will be sent an email. If the ride is canceled more than 2 hours before the start time, the Ride Leader will not be at the start.
