FRUMPS: Blyth Park-Kirkland-Redmond

Join us for a ride from Blyth Park on a 32 mile route at a steady pace of 12-14 mph. 

After short warm up on Burke-Gilman trail, we will climb Juanita Dr. on the newly renovated bike lane. Plan on a regroup at Juanita Bay Park to view the water lilies before continuing on to Kirkland Marina Park. Enjoy views along Lake Washington prior to a gradual climb up Northup Way and 116th Ave NE to top of Rose Hill. Following the wonderful downhill on Old Redmond Rd to Marymoor area, we will stop for coffee in Redmond. After a short gradual climb on Hwy 202, the ride is mostly flat as we continue on Sammamish River Trail, Redmond-Woodinville Rd and Riverside Dr. to end at Blyth Park.

Let's meet at the Blyth Pak and please be ready to ride at 10 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. 

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at 10 miles . We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at 5 Stones Coffee at mile 23.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
