Seattle to Bainbridge to Bremerton to Seattle

Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park on a 45 mile route at a Moderate pace of 14-16 MPH!

This ride will take us from Gas Works Park to Coleman Dock, take the 8:45am ferry to Bainbridge Island, ride from the ferry terminal to the Bremerton ferry terminal with the goal of catching the 1:30pm ferry back to the Coleman Dock. We disembark and ride back to Gas Works Park via the eastern half of Lake Union and Portage Bay.  Since we are taking the ferry, riders are strongly encouraged to purchase their ferry ticket before the ride, the ticket costs $10.45. The web site to purchase tickets is below. The purchased ticket is round trip so you don't need to purchase a separate ticket for the Bremerton to Seattle ferry. With the mileage and ferry travel time I anticipate returning to Gas Works Park between 3:30 - 4:00pm. Please park on the side streets near the park as we will exceed the four hour limit for parking in the GWP parking lot.

Let's meet at the west end of the Gas Works Park parking lot and please be ready to ride at 7:45am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 17. (OPTIONAL) We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Poulsbo at mile 17.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
