Seattle Neighborhoods: House boats, Queen Anne, UW and more!

Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park on a 27 mile route at Steady pace of 12-14 mph!

This route will go through a variety of Seattle neighborhoods including Queen Anne, Ballard, the UW, Ravenna, and Montlake. There is a flight of stairs near the ship canal where we will need to carry our bikes up and I'll be happy to help anyone do so if they need assistance. Four hour parking is available at Gas Works Park and unlimited parking is also available on nearby city streets.

Let's meet at the west end of the Gas Works Park parking lot and please be ready to ride at 9am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water/food at mile 15, the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
