Lake Sammamish Loop Ride with Coffee Stop at Peet's

Join us for a ride from Tibbetts Valley Park, near the Skate Park, on a 24.6 mile route at a steady pace. This would be 12- 14 MPH (on the flat).

This will be straightforward loop around Lake Sammamish, starting and finishing in Issaquah. We will have a nice mid-ride coffee break as we approach Marymoor Park!

Let's meet at the Tibbetts Valley Park in Issaquah and please be ready to ride at 9:30. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Portapotties are available at the start. However, restrooms are across the ball fields. We’ll plan to stop for coffee/snacks at Peet's Coffee in Redmond, near Marymoor Park at mile 11.6. There is also an optional rest stop while in Marymoor Park, at the rest rooms near the baseball fields (mile 12.8).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, which may include excess heat conditions or concerns regarding the Air Quality Index, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
