Free Group Ride
Kirkland - Duvall Loop
Event has already happened.
To start the 4th of July with a good workout, join us for a ride from Kirkland on a 52 mile route at Brisk pace of 16-18mph (on flats without benefit of wind)!
The ride will take us through Bridle Trails (including the Pike's Peak climb to get us warmed up), Redmond, over to Snoqualmie Valley and into Duvall for a food stop, then continue North all the way to Eliott Road and then return through Maltby and Woodinville.
Let's meet at the South Kirkland Park and Ride (behind the bus stop) and please be ready to ride at 8am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of sustained climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are NOT available at the start. We will stop for Food/Coffee/Water/Restrooms at Safeway in Duvall (mile 22).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
