FRIDAY RIDERS: Lynnwood History Tour -- EARLY START
Event has already happened.
Do you think of Lynnwood as merely one giant shopping center and street after street filled with big box stores? You'll know better after taking this tour that goes past several historic buildings and includes a stop to see the last remaining car of the Seattle-Everett Interurban Railway. You'll learn about the Little Landers, the Alderwood Manor chicken ranchettes, and more. We'll stop for lunch at Whole Foods before tackling the big hill back to our starting point. The route is mostly on the Interurban Trail, which spurred the development of the area, with time also spent poking around central Lynnwood in the Scriber Lake area.
Let's meet at Martha Lake Airport Park and please be ready to leave at 9:30am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
Bring money for lunch; water and snacks, and a spare tube and tools for flat fixing.
If it's rainy, smokey, or extremely hot that day, I'll post a cancellation notice here by 7:30 am. Feel free to call me at 425-238-4045 for updates that morning.
You are required to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. If you decide not to ride, please unregister so that another rider might take your spot.
