TREATS Blyth Park – Bear Creek – Redmond

Please join us for a 29-mile social ride from Bothell through scenic hills and forests to Redmond Town Center. We’ll start at Blyth Park (which is adjacent to the Burke Gilman Trail). There are restrooms and water available at the start, a restroom break at Mile 14 in Ferrel-McWhirter Park, and lunch at Mile 19 (Starbucks).

Please be ready to ride at 10 AM.  We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group.  

This is a Steady paced ride, 12-14 mph on the flats in the absence of wind. We'll limit our speed on multi-use trails to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).  We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, while our goal will be to stay together with frequent regroups.  We won’t be able to wait long for anyone substantially off the pace. Please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own.

Be prepared with the equipment (including a spare tube) and knowledge to take care of your own flats and mechanicals, and a plan for getting back to the start if your bike won't take you there. If you have a problem the group will stop briefly to make sure you will be OK on your own, but we may not be able to wait for repairs to be completed.

Steady rain cancels. If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
