*** STEADY PACE *** This is in addition to the regular out and back Pie Ride
****NOTE: START TIME AT 11:15 A.M. FOR FULL SELECTION OF PIE and to get out of way of normal Pie Ride start***
PIE RIDE: We will ride north on the Burke-Gilman Trail to the North Shore Senior Center (NSSC) in Bothell, just beyond Blyth Park. We then take a pie, brownie or cookie break at NSSC. A variety of homemade pies with whipped or ice cream, sodas and coffee are usually available for riders to purchase at a reasonable price. Please note: purchases may be with cash, charge or debit cards (plastic purchases are a minimum of $1.00). We will be there for about 30 to 60 minutes, use the restrooms if needed.
The ride will continue on the Sammamish River Trail and connect to Eastrail and the Cross Kirkland Corridor. It is a chance to use the new Totem Lake bridge that finally is opening on the CKC.
Route: Burke-Gilman Trail, Sammamish River Trail, Eastrail/CKC, 520 trail and back to Burke-Gilman for return to Mathews Beach.
Pace: Steady Pace
Cue sheets: No cue sheets provided. Stay together ride.
Fenders: If the riding surfaces are wet, please come equipped with fenders long enough to keep the person riding behind you dry or be the caboose.
Ride start: We meet at the Matthews Beach parking lot. Please be ready to ride at 11:15 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. Note: Water and restrooms are available at the start.
Be Prepared: Be prepared if you have a mechanical problem e.g. flat tire or have a rescue plan, e.g. bus pass (ORCA card).
Register: Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information.
Parking: Free parking at Matthews Beach parking lot.
Weather cancelation: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
