Berries and Ice Cream

Join us for a ride from Lynden, WA on a 24 mile route at steady pace of 12-14 mph!

This is 1st ride of two day visit to Whatcom County. Join me in exploring a scenic farm area for U-pick berry farms. Please bring snack, since we will stop near end of ride for ice cream. There are restaurants on Front St. at end of ride for lunch if you feel you need real food. Leader will be picking berries after the ride and you are welcome to join me. Raspberries and possibly blueberries should be available at the time of this ride.

Let's meet at the corner of Front St and 4th St in front of public restrooms and please be ready to ride at 10 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.  

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at 8 miles.  We’ll stop for ice cream at 29 mile .

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
