Free Group Ride
Get On Your Bike: Carnation - Fall City
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Carnation on a 19 mile route at leisurely pace (10-12mph on flats)!
This ride is ideal for beginners. It's a scenic, mostly flat route through farmland along the Snoqualmie River to Fall City and back. There's one medium hill, but it's not very steep, and we'll regroup along the way up.
Let's meet at Tolt McDonald Park (parking map) and please be ready to ride at 9:30. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.
A port-a-potty is available at the start. Water is NOT available, so please fill up at home. (The nearest water and restrooms are 1/2 mile away in downtown Carnation.) There's an optional restroom stop at a gas station at mile 8.
All riders should bring ID; spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats; a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails; and snacks and water. Waiting for mechanical issues will be at the discretion of the ride leader.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
