Hello Northshore riders,
Let's try something a little different. Join us for a social ride from Heritage Park in downtown Kirkland. Parking is limited at Heritage Park but there is ample room on Waverly Way adjacent to the park. This ride is mostly roads with bike lanes and packed gravel trails.
Restrooms are not available at the start, but we will stop for restrooms/water at Marina Park @ mile 0.3. There is also restrooms at Totem Lake Park @ mile 11.7.
This is Leisurely paced (10 - 12 mph) route through Kirkland with a coffee/snack stop @ Bridle Trails Starbucks, There are hills, but we climb them at our own pace and always regroup at the top. Beware aware that part of the route is the Kirkland Cross Corridor trail which is hard packed gravel, bikes with wider tires and tread recommended. I will be using my Ebike to lead because of the tires.
Please, be at Heritage Park and ready to ride at 10 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
