Auburn to Alki

It's Spring!  Let's get on our bikes and roll.

Join us for a ride from the Auburn Walmart Supercenter on a 56.5 mile route at the Steady pace, which means we avg between 12-14 mph.

 This is a nice trail ride out and back to visit Alki beach and see the Alki Lighthouse.  This is a mostly flat ride.  We will regroup as necessary.  The only caution about this ride is the length...if you haven't been on your bike in awhile, the distance may be daunting for your backside. 

Let's meet at the parking lot of Walmart-- in the Southwest corner, abutting Outlet Collection Way (look for people with bikes) and please be ready to ride at 10am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

Restrooms are available at the start. We can stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles at 11 miles and 44 approximately.  We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at rest and refreshment break at the Alki Starbucks at mile 28 (approximately).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
