**CANCELLED** Mount Baker Beach Park to Alki

Join us for a ride from Mt Baker Beach Park car lot on a 24 mile route at Steady (12 to 14 average on flat). 

We will ride from the start along Lake Washington Boulevard via the switchback in Colman Park.  We'll turn down S Irving and join the I90 trail through the tunnel.  Our route will take us via the International District to S Jackson and then 1st Ave and King Street to the bike trail.  We'll ride Alaskan Way S and East Marginal Way S ultimately joining a bike trail that will take us over the bridge to Starbucks in Alki for a coffee stop.  On the return we will retrace our path for a while then connect with the Duwamish River trail then through Georgetown and Beacon Hill.  That bit is a tad hilly but then it is mainly downhill from Beacon Hill back to the start.  

Let's meet at the Mt Baker Park car lot and please be ready to ride at 10:00 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together and regroup frequently.  

Restrooms are available at the start. Our first restroom stop is at mile 11.8. If required there are facilities at mile 21.  

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
