North Lynnwood/Norway Hill loop

Join us for a ride from Ash Way Park & Ride on a 32-mile route at a Steady pace (12-14 mph on the flats with no headwinds.)

The route heads almost directly south to the top end of Lake Washington -- downhill much of the way. After making a bathroom stop at Log Boom Park (mile point 8.5), we head up 100th and climb the south side of Norway Hill via a little-used route. Then we descend into Bothell and follow a somewhat hilly route back to the park and ride. There are some long gentle climbs on this route and some short steep climbs; it is a good idea to click on the link below to see the profile of the ride below the route map.

Let's meet at the northeast corner of Ash Way Park & Ride and please be ready to ride at 9 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, rolling out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. We will obey the posted speed limit on trails -- generally 15 mph.

Restrooms and water are not available at the start. While Log Boom Park has restrooms, the only water available this time of year is from sinks in the bathrooms. Please, come to the start with enough water/hydration mix to get through the ride. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
