I ride, you ride, we all ride for Ice cream! Tacoma Dome Station to Iscreamery, Gig Harbor

Will bike for ice cream - really good ice cream - freshly made in Gig Harbor! 

Let's meet in the plaza in front of the Tacoma Dome Station Parking Structure across from Freight House Square. Free parking is available and many buses, including Sound Transit 594 from Seattle,  come to this transit center. Please be at our start location, ready to ride, at the start time. We'll start with introductions and a safety briefing and then bike through Tacoma's North End towards the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Ice cream is at our midpoint in historic downtown Gig Harbor. We'll stop long enough for everyone to enjoy and then return via Cushman Trail and downtown Tacoma.

The pace of this group ride is Steady-  defined as 12 to 14 miles per hour on flat terrain with no wind. There are some hills on this ride - we'll take them at our own paces and regroup after. We will also regroup if we get spread out and before turns.  

All participants must register on-line before the ride. Register by clicking the red "register now" button. You do not need to be a Cascade member to register, but you do need to create a free account. If you are having problems registering or have any other questions, feel free to contact the ride leader before the day of the ride.

Helmets are required for all participants on Cascade Free Group rides. Some other good things to have: WATER, a charged cell phone, a credit card and some cash, ID, supplies to fix a flat (spare tube, pump, tire levers) a small snack, fenders on your bike if roads are wet, front and back lights. 

Cancelation Policy: Ride will be canceled in the event of steady rain, unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start time, it will be noted in the title of this post, all registered riders will be sent a notification to the email address associated with their Cascade account and the ride leader will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
