Free Group Ride
Edmonds to Norway Hill
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Edmonds City Park on a trip to Norway Hill. The 35 mile route is at a Moderate Pace 14-16 MPH!
Leaving Edmonds City Park we’ll ride out of the Edmonds bowl. We then head down to Lake Washington and the Burke Gilman Trail. At the lake we ride over to and up Norway Hill. After completing our climb up Norway Hill we'll take a direct route back to the Burke Gilman. The return to Edmonds includes a ride up Perkins Way, and a descent back to Edmonds City Park from Innis Arden.
We'll limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). We will regroup after major hills. Bathrooms are available at Blyth Park mile 15, and Log Boom Park mile 23.
Let's meet at Edmonds City Park and please be ready to ride at 9:45. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup after hills . If maintaining the pace is difficult for a rider, the rider may have to continue the ride on their own.
Restrooms and water are NOT available at the start -Closed during Winter.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
