Gravel Ride--Carnation-Snoqualmie Falls
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Tolt MacDonald Park on a 28-mile route at a moderate pace 14-16mph!
Come ride the scenic Snoqualmie Valley Trail (SVT) to see Snoqualmie Falls. About 2/3 of the ride is on the SVT. The last part of the ride will be on the quiet West Snoqualmie River Road. Bring a snack to eat at the Snoqualmie Falls viewpoint. I tend to hang out after the ride so if you like, bring fresh clothes and a lawn chair for a post-ride gathering.
This ride is on an easy non-technical railroad grade. Recommend 32mm tires or larger. Parts of the trail will likely be covered with leaves.
Let's meet at the Tolt MacDonald park and please be ready to ride at 11:00. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at Mile 12 near the Falls viewpoint.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
