Woodinville to Snohomish Bakery & Back
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Please join us for for a ride from Woodinville to the Snohomish Bakery and back.
We will meet at the Woodinville Park and Ride. This will be an approximate 55 mile route at Brisk Pace (16-18mph). Please be ready to ride at 9:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to try to stay together and we will regroup at the tops of climbs if we get separated. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are not available at the start. There is no water at the start. We will make a quick restroom stop at Wilmot Gateway Park (Mile 1.2).
After our quick restroom stop we will take on Norway Hill. Now that we are warmed up, we will continue on to Kenmore where we will head north toward Mill Creek. We will ride north all the way to Silver Lake where we will take another short break (restrooms available) at Hauge Homestead Park (mile 21.1). After our stop, we will begin heading east toward Snohomish for a longer coffee break at the Snohomish Bakery (mile 34.5). Bring money for coffee and pastries. After our bakery stop, we will turn south to tackle Broadway and Welch Roads. We will finish with a nice downhill back into Woodinville.
Riders should bring tools & knowledge to repair flats or minor mechanicals and be prepared to complete the ride on your own should your bike require repair. Please have a backup plan (someone to call or an ORCA card) if your bike will not get you to the finish.
Fenders are requested if it is wet or expected to be wet. Plan to ride at the back if you do not have fenders.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
