TREATS: Ride around Woodinville

Join us for a ride from Sixty Acres Park (go to the east parking lot on the south side of 116th)  on a 33 mile route at steady pace (up to 14 miles/hour on flat terrain).

We will climb hills, wander around Redmond Ridge, and experience some of the hidden back roads of Woodinville.  The ride will include a short section (.1 mile) of gravel and will include one short but seriously steep portion of road (less than .1 mile).   This is a walkable-without-shame section.

Let's meet at the the southeast parking lot of sixty acres and please be ready to ride at 10 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.     I urge all riders to arrive well in advance of 10 AM to have enough time to unload your bike and be ready to roll.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally and at the top of hills. This is a hilly route, and we may ride flats nearer the upper end of the 12-14mph pace range. If you fall behind the pace, please be prepared to complete the ride on your own.   We will wait at the top of hills to regroup.

Restrooms (portapotties) available at the start. We will stop at about 18 miles for a coffee/sandwich break and bathroom opportunity at Starbucks.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
