2022 Cascade Volunteer Appreciation Party & Member Meeting Costume Ride

Join us for a fun group ride from Cascade Bicycle Club on a 14 mile route at either a steady pace (12-14 mph) or leisurely pace (10-12 mph). Both paces will be offered for this ride. Costumes and bicycle decorations are encouraged!

This ride will precede the annual Volunteer Appreciation Party and Member Meeting being hosted at Cascade Bicycle Club. We will meet at the club which will be open with access to restrooms and water. Please be present and ready to ride at 11:00 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will bike from Cascade Bicycle Club to Gas Works Park on the Burke Gilman Trail, take a group photo, and will return to the club via the same route with one slight deviation that takes us through the UW sports fields. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. 

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop at our turnaround spot at Gasworks (mile 6.7) for restrooms/water. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
