FRUMPS: North Lake Loop across I-90 through Central District

Join us for a scenic, urban ride from Lower Woodland Park, near Green Lake in Seattle, on a 44-mile route at a steady pace (12-14 mph on flats)! Our tour will take us around the north end of Lake Washington, through Kirkland and Bellevue, across the top of Mercer Island for our lunch stop, and back through the Central District and Interlaken Park.

Let's meet in the parking lot near the softball fields at Lower Woodland Park, and please be ready to ride at 10 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.

Restroom and water are available at the start. We will stop for a short restroom break at Logboom Park (mile 13), and we'll take a lunch break at Hap's Burgers & Taps on Mercer Island, at mile 32. Seating is outdoors, and we'll be able to keep an eye on our bikes.

Bring lunch money. Also bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
