Free Group Ride
Montlake to Magnolia for that Coffee
Event has already happened.
Let's ride around Seattle and catch those million-dollar views! We'll start at the Montlake Community Center at 10am, ride the Ship Canal out to Discovery Park, through Magnolia, stop for coffee at Uptown Espresso, then come back along the Elliott Bay waterfront, Queen Anne, and Eastlake.
That's 20 miles of "Moderate" riding (14-16mph), with hills at your own pace, frequent regroups, bathrooms at the start, coffee in the middle, and great scenery the whole way through. There's plenty of street parking in the neighborhood, as long as the Huskies aren't playing. This is strictly a fair-weather ride. You can leave the fenders at home, BUT if it rains, we cancel.
The usual rules apply:
- We start with the usual required safety briefing at 10am. Then we roll out when it's done.
- If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
- Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
- If the ride is canceled, you'll find a note in the Comments section two hours prior to the start, but you won't find me at the start. (I'm staying dry.)
We hope you can join us!
