FRUMPS - Cedar River Trail to 4 Corners - return Soos Creek Trail

From Ron Regis Park we are on the Cedar River Trail which gradually climbs (2-3%) up to picturesque Dorre Don. After a photo-op on an old Rail Road bridge, there will be hard-packed gravel for 0.2 miles. The early lunch stop (about 11:30 am) is at Panera Bread. Check the link below for the menu.  The route then winds through forest neighborhoods over to Lake Meridian. The Soos Creek Trail is a paved trail that meanders through natural wetlands for 5 miles back to Renton. There is a short pitch up a 10% grade for 100 yards but we will wait for everyone at the top.  Just before the end, there is a 10% descent for 1 mile down 140th Ave.  We should be back at the start about 2:30 - 3:00 pm.

Start: Let's meet in the parking lot of Ron Regis Park at 10:00 am for the pre-ride safety briefing and route review.  We will depart after the briefing.  IMPORTANT TO NOTE:  If you are not present and ready at 10:00 am when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate. 

What to bring:  Supplies and tools to fix a flat, cell phone in case you cannot finish, full water bottles, and pocket snacks.

Restrooms: Start, Lunch at Panera Bread (mile 14.5), Soos Creek Trail (mile 29.4)

Cancellation: In the event of showers or unsafe conditions, the ride leader will not be at the start but will post a cancellation notice in the Comments section below by 8:00 am on the day of the ride.  It is always wise to check the Comments before you drive to the start of a ride. Rain during the ride could modify the route.
