Bridge 2 Bridge on Lake Washington

Join us for a ride from Burnett Linear Park in Renton to Bellevue on a 42.5 mile route at a steady pace (12 to 14 MPH)!

We will ride along Lake Washington to Seward Park, through the Leschi neighborhood, and into the Arboretum before entering the 520 Bike Trail across Lake Washington.  After a brief photo op, we will ride into Old Town Bellevue for coffee and pastries at the Belle French Bakery.  We will then ride to the I-90 Bike Trail to Mercer Island, crossing the north end of the island and continuing to cross Lake Washington to Seattle before returning to Renton via Seward Park and Rainier Avenue.

Let's meet at the Burnett Linear Park and please be ready to ride at 10:00 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 3.5 (Lakeridge Park), 12.1 (Madrona Park), 23.3 (Belle Bakery), and 35.4 (Seward Park).  We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Belle French Bakery at mile 23.3.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
