FRUMPS: North Bend / Middle Fork Rd

Join us for a 31 mile out and back ride from Torguson Park in North Bend to the end of the paved Middle Fork Snoqualmie Road at a steady pace of 12-14 MPH! With any luck, we will get a break in the wet spring weather for some amazing views!

This route meanders along the quiet, gently climbing Middle Fork Snoqualmie Road. Once a rugged dirt road, this has been paved up to our turnaround point. We will pass numerous trailheads, including the infamous Mailbox Peak trailhead, the Middle Fork Campground and abundant mountain and river views along the way. After walking our bikes across a bridge at the end of the pavement, we will picnic along the river before retracing our route. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. 

Let's meet at the Torguson Park at 10 am for our pre-ride safety briefing and immediate departure. Please note that you must be present at the safety talk to participate in the ride.

Restrooms and water are available at the start. There are multiple primitive restrooms available at trailheads along the route. PLEASE NOTE: There is no potable water beyond the start location, so bring at least 2 bottles of water. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch as well as plenty of snacks. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below by 7 am on the morning of the ride and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
