A Classique Mercer Loop

Join us for a ride from Ron Regis Park on a 39.9 mile ride at moderate pace (14-16 mph)!

This is the classic Mercer Island loop. We'll start at Ron Regis park and meet in the parking lot. From there, we'll take the Cedar River Trail and head north, stopping for restrooms and a photo at Gene Coulon park (mile 5.1). We'll go around the lake on the Bellevue side via Lake Washington Blvd, then loop around Mercer Island at our own pace, stopping again for restrooms/water/snack break at Aubrey Davis Park, (mile 23.5). After that, we'll head back down south on the west side of the lake, ending at Ron Regis Park. 

Let's meet at Ron Regis Park and please be ready to ride at 9:45 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. We will take Mercer Island and hills at our own pace, regrouping at the end.

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 5.1 and 23.5. Please bring your own snacks to optionally eat at the midway point.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
