Free Group Ride
FRIDAY RIDERS: Roads and Trails
Event has already happened.
Frost, ice, snow or temperatures under 48 degrees also cancels. Check the comment section before you come to the ride. Although there is a shoulder, the busy road cycling is unsafe for children. No pets please as we might stop at a private garden if the flowers are blooming.
Join us for a ride from Blyth Park, Bothell to Woodinville on a 12 mile route at 11:10 for a 10-12 mile leisurely pace ride.
Let's meet at the restrooms and please be ready to ride at 11:10. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms or portable toilets available at the start if the water system has been fixed. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Woodinville at mile 8.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
Let's check the weather radar and predictions for Bothell and Woodinville to make sure we will have a pleasant and safe ride. We hope you can join us!
