Gas Works - Kenmore - 520 Loop

Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park on a 29.7 mile route at Moderate Pace (14-16 mph on the flats)!

This route takes us north on the Burke Gilman Trail to Kenmore where we'll stop briefly. There is a porta-potty available there. We'll continue east toward Bothell where we leave the Burke at the former Wayne Golf Course to head south toward Kirkland. We will climb Waynita Way and Market and stop at Kirkland's Marina Park for restrooms and water at mile 20. We continue south to join the 520 trail, across the Montlake bridge to return to the UW where we turn west on the Burke back to Gas Works to complete a nearly 30 mile loop.

Let's meet at the Gas Works Park parking lot and please be ready to ride at 8:30am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.

Restrooms and water are available at the start. We will stop along the way for porta-potty at mile12 at Log Boom Park. We’ll also stop for restrooms/water at Marina Park in Kirkland at mile 20.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
