FRUMPS: Lacey Loop to Boston Harbor

Join us for a ride from the Lacey to Boston Harbor on a 33.8 mile route at Steady Pace (12-14 mph).

Parking: Park in the north end of the Lowe's parking lot away from the store entrance.

Description: There is a Starbucks on the Northeast corner of Lowe's parking lot if you would like to grab something before the ride.  The Route review and SMART talk will begin at 10:00 am. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.  The first nine miles is on the forested Chehalis Western Trail.  Then there is rolling rural farmland over to Boston Harbor for a photo op.  The route back to Olympia has views of Budd Inlet.  Lunch is at The Bread Peddler about 12:30 pm (see link below).  After leaving the Historic District, we will ride through Watershed Park then take a circuitous route through neighborhoods back to the start.

Restrooms: In Starbucks at the start. We will stop along the route for restrooms at mile 9.1 and lunch (mile 23.9).  

What to bring: A spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case, pocket snacks and a full water bottle.  Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
