Ride Up North, entire CENTENNIAL TRAIL
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride on the entire beautiful, paved Centennial Trail, going 30 miles north through Lake Stevens and Arlington to the north terminus at the historic Nakashima Barn and then return to Snohomish. There are a few gentle climbs. Our pace will be 12-14 mph, about the minimum a rider should strive for if they hope to do a 2-day STP. This is the 3rd series in Ride Up North. As we progress through the season the rides will become longer and/or harder. This ride is still in the base-mile building phase for most riders. However, for riders who are already training more intensely, perhaps for a 1- day STP or RAMROD, this could be considered a nice recovery ride.
Let's meet at the Snohomish Public Library parking lot and please be ready to ride at 11:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.
Restrooms/porta-potties are available at various trail heads along the route.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: only snow, ice or freezing weather will cancel this ride due to possible dangerous slippery conditions.
We hope you can join us!
