Join us for a ride from the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal on a 45.6 mile route at Steady Pace (12-14 mph).

Parking: Free parking is available in the north lot of Lincoln Park about a half mile north of the Ferry Terminal.

Description: Meet at the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal in time to catch the 9:25 am ferry to Vashon Island.  Bike plus rider is $7.10 for the ride over to Vashon and the return trip is free.  The required safety briefing will be held on the ferry.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.  We will regroup just after disembarkation on the the dock.  Vashon is mostly forested with some pastures and a small downtown area.  The route is hilly.  We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and will regroup frequently.  This ride will take all day and depending on the speed of the group we will either catch the 3:45 pm or 4:50 pm return ferry.

Restrooms: In the ferry terminal and on the ferry. We will stop along the route for restrooms at mile 17.4, 24.8,  and 30.7.  There is a small convenience store, Harbor Mercantile (mile 16.2) just before our lunch break at Jensen Point (mile 17.5).  There is an option to stop at Vashon Island Baking company for Coffee and Pastries at mile 38.6.

What to bring: A spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case, pocket snacks and a full water bottle.  Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
