**CANCELLED** FRUMPS: Kirkland Social II

Join us for a social ride from Heritage Park in downtown Kirkland. This is basically the route Don and Jane Volta used for their Kirkland Social ride of December 23.  It’s a 23.8 mile route through Kirkland and Bellevue with a 30-40-minute lunch stop at Snyders Corner (16.4 miles). 

Restrooms are not available at the start, but we will stop for restrooms/water at Kirkland Waterfront Park at mile 0.3.  Restrooms will also be available at Mile 8.5. Parking is limited at Heritage Park but there is ample room on Waverly Way adjacent to the park. 

Let's meet at Heritage Park.  Please be ready to ride at 10:00am.  We will start with the required safety briefing and roll out when it's done.  If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group.   Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.

This ride will be at a Steady pace, which means that to keep up with the group you must be able to maintain a speed of 12-14 MPH for 2-4 hours on flat terrain with no tailwind.  Each rider, however, can climb hills at their own pace, and we will regroup at the top.  Please send a message if you are unsure if this is a good ride for you or if you have any other questions.  Electric-assist bicycles are welcome.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
