Lights of Mill Creek

Join us for a ride from the McCollum Park and Ride on a 17 mile route at a moderate-ish 14-16 mph (or less)!

The Seahawks game will be over, your shopping will be done, you want a little exercise and to get into the holiday spirit. This is a social ride through Mill Creek to see the holiday lights. We will ride through the town center before heading up to some of the neighborhoods where houses have been judged to win the coveted "Elf Award". This is posted as a moderate pace, but we will be going slower most of the time as we stop to look at lights and there are not too many straight sections before turning into a neighborhood. If the conditions are causing people to not have a good time, there are plenty of places we can cut the ride short. After the ride if you are interested and want to join in, we will go to Azul in the town center to warm up and have something to eat and drink.

Meet at the McCollum Park and Ride off 128th St SE and please be ready to ride at 6:00 pm. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

The objective is to ride together, which should not be too much of a problem since we will be stopping or slowing quite a bit.

Restrooms are not available at the start but we can stop along the way at mile 6.5.

You must have front and rear lights or you will not be allowed to ride!

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
