Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
IMPORTANT: Please have a mask and proof of vaccination if you plan to go inside our coffee stop location.
Trivia! Issaquah Coffee was just recognized as Best Coffee shop in Issaquah for 2021 by the Issaquah Reporter. If we are lucky, the "best barista" winner, Maria, will be working! And, should your sweet tooth be needing some attention, the shop was runner up in the best desert category.
Join us for a ride from the East Lake Sammamish Trailhead in Redmond on a 21 mile route at 12-14 mph!
This will be a relaxed ride, just getting some easy miles in during the busy holiday season. Come see the beauty of the East Lake Sammamish Corridor as we travel from Redmond to Issaquah mostly on the flat East Lake Sammamish Trail and make our return trip mostly via the East Lake Sammamish Parkway to get a couple rolling hills. We'll have a brief coffee stop at Issaquah Coffee Company at the midpoint of our ride. There is a short section of well-packed gravel on the East Lake Sammamish Trail. **Note: depending on road or trail construction, weather and/or wind conditions the route may be slightly changed in some locations; the ride leader will make that decision at the ride start or during the ride if necessary and notify riders as needed.
Let's meet at the East Lake Sammamish Trailhead behind Whole Foods in Redmond and please be ready to ride at 10 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, then roll out when that's done. If you are not present and ready at 10:00 am when we start the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.
Sanican is available at the start; water/restrooms are close by at Whole Foods. We will stop at our midpoint of the ride (10.5 miles) at Issaquah Coffee Company for coffee/snacks/water/restrooms.
Please be prepared to handle mechanical issues: a tube/patch and tools to fix a flat; a mobile phone and plan for "rescue" if needed. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of a weather cancellation (steady rain, frosty pavement, ice or snow) or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
