Join us for a ride from Woodinville on a 32 mile route at Super Strenuous [22mph +]! This is equivalent to 2.5+ watts per kilo.
Make up for all that candy you're going to eat or all the candy you've been eating! This is a short-and-to-the-point ride not for the faint of heart. It's going to hurt.
Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Field Parking Lot and please be ready to ride at 9:30am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace but plan on averaging 2.5+ watts per kilo. Our goal will be to regroup at the tops of hills. Anyone who skips an out-and-back hill can meet us at the start of the climb. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. We will not stop along the way for restrooms/water. I recommend you enjoy a healthy light breakfast at least an hour before the ride start.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Have a backup plan in the event your mechanical can not be fixed on site.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
