Posthumous Pastures, Revisited

Happy Halloween! Today at least one spirit will rise; the ghost of Peddling for Posthumous Pastures, a Halloween fixture for years! We'll ride up and down the Green River Valley, passing a few of the South End's more noteworthy cemeteries along the way. There'll be a chance to grab a bite to eat mid-ride, and then a flat roll south will take us back from whence we came.

We'll meet at the south parking lot of Auburn High School (just off E Main St, at the SE corner of the building), and please be ready to ride at 10:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. There are no restrooms at the start, but we'll stop by Brannan Park about 3 miles into the ride.

This is a Moderate paced ride, and we'll keep the pace to 14-16 mph where the terrain is flat; slower into the wind, and faster if it's coming from behind us. Steady rain may call for a cancellation.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
