Southeast Seattle Light Rail Tour
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This is a casual ride around the Rainier Valley and Beacon Hill to visit all 6 light rail stations (5 current, 1 future) in a loop. We’ll ride on roads and trails as we visit light rail stations on the 1 Line and a station on the future Eastlink Extension (2 Line). We will briefly stop at each light rail station and in the middle for coffee/snacks.
We will meet at the northwest corner of the parking lot at the Atlantic City Boat Ramp (8702 Seward Park Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118). Bicycle access is just off the Lake Washington Loop. Parking can be found in the adjacent parking lot or on nearby streets (Seward Park Ave, Henderson St). Transit access includes biking from the Link light rail station at Rainier Beach (1 mile away) or biking from King County Metro Bus route 7 which has a stop 1 block away.
Please be ready to ride at 10:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that’s done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will stop at the following locations along the route: Rainier Beach Station (mile 0.8), Othello Station (mile 2.1), Columbia City Station (mile 3.9), Mount Baker Station (mile 5.5), Judkins Park Station (mile 7.3), coffee/snack break at The Station next to Beacon Hill Station (mile 8.5).
Please note: this ride is expected to last around 2-3 hours.
