Woodinville to Kirkland/Rose Hill for Coffee

Join us for a ride starting from Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville on an approximate 38.5 mile route at a Steady pace (12-14 mph)!  This Eastside route provides both hill climbing and fairly flat terrain using bike trails, bike lanes, and largely quiet neighborhood streets for most of the route. 

Now that we are into our Pacific Northwest Fall season, it's a great time to take advantage of the generally cooler weather and changing leaf colors! This week we will venture from Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville and tour through toward several parts of the greater Kirkland community.   We will have a very short rest stop at approximately mile 15.5 at Juanita Park. We will have an approximate 25 minute coffee/snack/water/restroom stop at a coffee shop near the top of Rose Hill at approximately mile 26.3.

Let's meet at the Wilmot Gateway Park by the tables under the Pergolas in the park at 0930, ready to ride, for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a planned departure right after completion of the Safety Briefing.  Please note that you must be a) pre-registered for this ride via the Cascade Bicycle Club website; and, b) you must be present for the safety briefing at 0930, else you won't be able to ride with us.

We will climb and descend the major hills at our own pace and our goal will be to regroup frequently - this is a social ride after all!  Faster riders are welcome but for them the ride becomes self-paced.   We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). 

Restrooms are available at the start. Please bring funds appropriate for your needs if you wish to purchase coffee or snacks at our coffee stop.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
