Eastside Hills #11

Join us for a ride from Woodinville to Snoqualmie and back on a 70 mile route at vigorous page of 18-20mph, on flats with no wind!  This ride has some nice flat stretches along country roads as well as some challenging hills to climb.  It should be fun and will provide a good workout!

We will start in Woodinville and ride down Woodinville-Duvall Road to the Snoqualmie River valley. Our ride through the valley will be relatively flat until we get to Fall City where we go up Lake Alice Road - a major climb. We'll ride around Snoqualmie a little, then drop down the Snoqualmie Falls, ride across the valley, and climb Issaquah-Fall City Road.  We return to the start by going up the Snoqualmie River valley.

Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Fields and please be ready to ride at 8:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of sustained climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/food/water at mile 32 at the Snoqualmie Ridge Safeway at mile 53 at the Samammish QFC.  

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
