Sunday Pedalers on Kinda Easy Streets (SPOKES) Pie to Die for Ride

DIRECTIONS: Take exit 192 off of I-5 onto 41st St heading east and immediately turn right (south) on S 3rd Ave. Go 0.6 miles, bear left on to Junction Ave which quickly become S 2nd Ave. Drive 0.6 miles to a 4-way stop and turn left on Lenora St continuing as it become Lowell-Snohomish River Rd. Cross the railroad tracks and drive 0.2 miles. The park and dirt parking lot are on the left. The Lowell Riverfront Park is not Rotary Park though the two parks are next to each other. Lowell Riverfront Park is northwest of Rotary Park.

Join us for a ride from Lowell Riverfront Park on a 18 mile route at leisurely pace at 10-12 MPH!

This scenic loop ride has a surprisingly rural feel to it despite being so close to the city of Everett. The route follows the Lowell-Snohomish River Rd on the south side of the Snohomish river into the town of Snohomish returning by way of Riverview Rd on the north side of the river. We'll meander through farmland to the east of the river where we will be serenaded by mooing cows and crowing chickens!

Let's meet at the Lowell Riverfront Park and please be ready to ride at 9:45 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. 

Restrooms are available in a 1/4 mile from the start at Rotary Park. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 6.1. We’ll also stop for pie/sandwiches/salads/soups at the Snohomish Pie Company at mile 6.1.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Helmets are required!

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
