Auburn, Mercer Island, Black Diamond Loop de Loop

Join us for a ride from Auburn on a 84 mile route at a steady pace ranging from 12-14mph with adjustments for hills and wind!

Looking for a longer ride with great company?  Well, here is your chance.  Join us for a ride from Auburn along trails and side roads to Mercer Island.  We will stop on Mercer Island for a caffeine break.  Then we will head back south along more trails and roads through Renton.  We will then take the Cedar River trail East to head out to Black Diamond along Lake Sawyer.  Take in all the trees and the views.  After a good bakery stop with a chance for more caffeine, we will head back west along Green Valley Road which will drop us back into downtown Auburn.  This figure 8 loop will have some great views (weather permitting) and hopefully some great conversations.  Please join us!

Let's meet at the Auburn Park & Ride on 15th St. and please be ready to ride at 6:20am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. 

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 11, 22, 31 (Metropolitan Market), 39, 50, 67 (Black Diamond Bakery), 79. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Metropolitan Market on Mercer Island at mile 31 and Black Diamond Bakery at mile 67.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
