Event has already happened.
Join us for a 25.2-mile ride at a Moderate pace (14-16mph on the flats,) starting from Ash Way Park & Ride near Lynnwood.
This route rolls south to Lake Washington near Log Boom Park, then east to Bothell and back north to the park and ride lot. It will be a mentored ride for Chris Dorris, a Ride Leader candidate.
Let's meet at Ash Way Park & Ride and, please, be ready to ride at 7:50 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be allowed to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. We will observe the 15 mph speed limit for the short stretch we are riding on a multi-use trail.
Restrooms and water are not available at the start. Please, come prepared. We will make a brief stop at Blyth Park at mile point 10.8 for restrooms/water.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please, have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us.
