Eastside Hills #7

Join us for a ride from Hidden Valley Park on a 58 mile route at vigorous pace of 20mph (on flat with no wind)!

We continue the Eastside Hills series. This time we will be heading south towards Maple Valley via Coal Creek Pkwy and the 196th Ave SE hill,cstop for coffee then turn around and make our way back via a couple more sustained climbs (Tiger Mtn South and Squawk).

Let's meet at the Hidden Valley Park (large parking lot of 112th Ave NE) and please be ready to ride at 8:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of sustained climbs. The regroup points are marked on the route and will be pointed out during the ride. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for coffee/restrooms/water at mile 25 (Rainier Valley Coffee). Additional restroom/water stops based on rider demand are at miles 8 (Boren Lake Park) and 45 (Tibbets Valley Park).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
