Lynnwood/Mercer Island metric century

Join us for a ride from the Lynnwood area for a 66.2-mile route at a Moderate pace, 14-16 mph on the flats.

This challenging route goes through some lovely areas and includes the clockwise loop around Mercer Island.

Let's meet at the Ash Way Park & Ride and, please, be ready to ride at 6:55 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. There are some sustained climbs and shorter steeps at various points on this ride. Restrooms and water are not available at the start, so come prepared. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at Kirkland Marina Park (mile point 14.5), Aubrey Davis Park (mile point 35.3) and Log Boom Park (mile point 53.3.) Bring a snack or sandwich if you want food; we will take a few minutes to eat at Aubrey Davis Park on Mercer Island.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
