Cascadia Pizza - Renton to Maple Valley

Today’s (Leisurely) ride will take us up the familiar Cedar River Trail, starting at Ron Regis Park in Renton, turning around at Cascadia Pizza in Maple Valley where we will stop for lunch.  Cascadia took over the location previously operating as the Seven Diner, and the Testy Chef before that.  Dining is all outdoors.  The theme for this ride is all about the pizza stop for lunch, so plan on bringing along a hungry tummy, a bit of funds for food and drink, and plan on sufficient time to allow for the ride up and back plus food.  Check out the Cascadia menu at https://www.cascadiapizzaco.com/pizzeriamenu.  We may try to stop along the route to call ahead with our order, depending on the number of participants.

Porta Potties are available at the ride start location.

Weather:   If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.  Also, although the weather is currently predicted to be in the low 80’s and sunny, if we get another heat wave and the forecast increases to be above 90 degrees this ride will be canceled.

Mechanical issues: You should be prepared to fix a flat tire, with tools, tubes and the ability to change the tire yourself. We recommend having a back up plan in case you are unable finish the ride.

Note: Please arrive at the ride start at least 15 minutes early, so we can discuss the safety briefing before starting the ride at 10:15 am.
