Free Group Ride
North Lake Loop with Coffee
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Eastside Church in Bothell on a 32 mile route at moderate pace (14-16 mph) around the north end of Lake Washington, We'll head south, take the 520 trail to the west overlook, cross the bridge and have a coffee stop at University Village before heading north through neighborhoods and then to a descent on Perkins Lane back to the lake as we return to the start.
Let's meet at the southwest corner of the church parking lot (closest to both 100th Ave and NE 145th St) at 9:45 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 am.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and will regroup frequently.
Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 4.3 and 14.3, with another (optional) stop at mile 28.4. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at University Village Starbucks (the main one) at mile 14.3.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders, preferably reaching 2-4 inches from the ground, if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
