Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park on a 24 mile route at a Steady Pace (12-14) mph.
From Gas Works, we'll ride the Burke-Gilman Trail, through the UW Campus, and then up to Green Lake. From there, we'll follow the Interurban Trail through Shoreline, then return via Crown Hill, where will make a stop at Larsen's Bakery for coffee and treats, about 18 miles into the ride. The last leg is through Ballard before taking the BGT back to the start.
Let's meet at the Gas Works Park at 9:45 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 a.m. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. Restrooms are available at the start, and along the way at Green Lake and Bitter Lake, as well as the scheduled rest stop at Larsen's.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
