Clip Toe Through the Tulips

Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions, all Free Group Rides are limited in the number of allowed participants. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please click the red "Cancel My Registration" button above so that an additional spot will be made available to another.

Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops.

We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.

Join us for a ride from Mt Vernon on a 31 mile route at 12-14 MPH!

It's time to stop and smell the tulips! This will be a social ramble through the tulip fields and farms with plenty of stops on the road for photos. The tulips should be blooming and the daffs should still be around. We'll ride from Mt Vernon but this year we won't be stopping for lunch at a restaurant or going into the tulip fields at Tulip Town or Roozengaarde. Bring something for lunch and of course your camera. We may also get a chance to see and photograph Snow geese, Trumpeter swans and miniature donkeys so cute you'll want to take them home.

Let's meet at the Edgewater Park at 10:45 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 11:00. You MUST be at the briefing in order to ride. Restrooms are available at the start.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least three hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
