FRUMPS Enumclaw to Black Diamond Bakery

Join us for a ride from Enumclaw on a 37 mile route at a steady pace between 12-14 mph.

This is a favorite ride of mine and it starts from Jersey Mike's parking lot (right next to QFC) in Enumclaw with a destination stop at the Black Diamond Bakery. The route will take us through the beautiful quiet back roads of Enumclaw before we descend to the valley floor. After our sweet descent we immediately begin the one mile climb out of the valley on 218th. Once we reach the top of our climb we continue on to the bakery. Upon reaching the bakery we will stop for 20-25 minutes for a coffee pastry break. I recommend the apple fritters! My favorite and delightful with a cup of coffee! After our pastry break we will begin our second big climb up and then down to the Green River Gorge. We will stop for few minutes to view and take pictures of the gorge. Then we climb again (2 miles of steady climbing) until we reach Cumberland Kanaskat Road. We will have an optional stop at Nolte State Park before returning to Enumclaw.

Let's meet at Jersey Mike's parking lot (right next to QFC) in Enumclaw at 9:10 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a 9:30 AM departure time.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together however on longer climbs we will regroup at the top of the hill. 

Restrooms are available at the start in the QFC, Black Diamond Bakery at mile 19.8 and Nolte State Park at mile 28.2.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
